Ananya Badami is a multidisciplinary performer and student mentor from Ojai, California. Now based in New York City and entering her third year at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Ananya is excited to return to the vibrant theater community that nurtured her early artistic growth.

Her journey began on Ojai stages in 2019, and since then she has performed with companies including OYES, Opera Santa Barbara, 5-Star Theatricals, The Rubicon Theatre Company, and Oak Grove School. She also contributed to the launch of the Ojai Music Academy, served as an assistant with the Ojai Pixies Choir, and continues to perform as a vocalist with local music ensembles.

Ananya’s stage credits include leading roles such as Fiona in Shrek the Musical, Miss Honey in Matilda, Maria in The Sound of Music, and Donna in Mamma Mia!. She has also worked behind the scenes as a stage manager on productions including Richard III, Legally Blonde, and Dry Fall. At NYU, she is actively involved in the dance and theater community through performance groups such as KNESIS, Pulse Project, and Synchronic.

Ananya joins the Living Theatre as a student mentor, bringing both performance experience and a deep commitment to supporting the next generation of young artists.
